Common problems that veneers are used for:
-
Spaces between the teeth
-
Broken or chipped teeth
-
Unsightly, stained or discolored teeth
-
Permanently stained or discolored teeth
-
Crooked or misshapen teeth
In many cases, they may even help you to avoid orthodontic treatment by correcting spaces between teeth or making crooked teeth look straighter.
PROCEDURE
Placing porcelain veneer usually takes two or more appointments. At the first appointment, we usually remove a very minimal amount of tooth structure that is equal to the thickness of the veneers. This amount may vary depending on the patient’s esthetic goals.
Next, we take an impression of your teeth. This impression is used by the lab to create your custom veneers. We then place temporary veneers on your teeth while your veneers area being made.
On your next visit, we remove the temporary veneers and place the permanent veneers. You are then given a chance to see how the veneers can transform your smile. Once you are satisfied with the appearance of the veneers, we then permanently bond them to your teeth.
Veneers are a great way to transform your smile in just a couple of visits. Taking good care of your veneers will give you a beautiful smile for many years.
