Sure there are other options out there for straightening your teeth but none offers the level of comfort, convenience, and confidence that you'll find with Invisalign. And no matter what stage you're at in life, you'll appreciate how our cutting edge approach to treatment has minimal interference in how you live, but has a significant positive impact on how you look and feel about yourself.
Every Invisalign smile has a story. Choose the one that you relate to:
A Clear Alternative
Invisalign is a virtually invisible solution so you can smile during as well as after treatment. In fact. virtually no one will know you're wearing them unless you tell. By using a series of clear, removable aligners, Invisalign straightens you teeth right before your eyes. Change them about every two weeks and your teeth will move – little by little – toward the smile you have always wanted.
Invisible. Removable. And Comfortable
Invisalign is comfortable to wear and it doesn't require you to change your busy lifestyle. You will visit Dr Burks aboiut every 6 weeks to check your progression and get new aligners. Average treatment time can range from 8 months to a liitle over a year. Because aligners are removable, you can continue to eat your favorite foods while brushing and flossing normally to keep your mouth and gums healthy.
Straighter teeth can lead to:
Properly positioned teeth are easier to brush and floss than teeth that are crowded, crooked, or spaced too far apart. Properly aligned teeth can help gums "fit" tighter around them, which may lead to better gingival (gum) health preventing periodontal disease which has been associated with heart disease and diabetes.
Straighter teeth, making it easier to keep teeth clean, leads to easier cleaning appointments. With maintenance of good oral hygiene, the chances of having plaque retention, tooth decay, and periodontal (gum) disease can be reduced.
- Improved Chewing and Speech
In some instances, speech problems may result from poorly positioned teeth and jaws. Malocclusion or teeth that are not aligned correctly can also make it difficult to chew your food correctly or completely.
- Decreased Risk of Dental Trauma and Abnormal Wear
Properly aligned teeth are less stressful on the supporting bone and jaw joints. Straighter teeth reduce the traumatic forces on the teeth helping to prevent chipping, notching, fracturing and wearing of the teeth.
Clearly Different
Invisalign® straightens your teeth without wires and brackets, using a series of clear, customized, removable appliances called aligners. It's virtually undetectable, which means hardly anyone will know that you're straightening your teeth.
The Invisalign System combines advanced 3-D computer graphics technology with 100-year-old science of orthodontics. Invisalign aligners are designed to move your teeth in small steps to the desired final position prescribed by your dentist. Each aligner is precisely calibrated and manufactured to fit your mouth at each stage of the treatment plan.
Your first step is to visit our office to determine if Invisalign is right for you. After sending precise treatment instructions, Invisalign uses advanced computer technology to translate these instructions in a sequence of finely calibrated aligners — as few as 12 or as many as 48. Each aligner is worn for about two weeks and only taken out to eat, brush and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next, your teeth will begin to move gradually — week-by-week until the final alignment prescribed is attained. Then you'll be smiling like you never have before!
