Your smile is one of the first features people notice about you, and we believe no one should feel anything less than amazing when they smile. At the office of Dr. Robert Burks, we provide cosmetic dentistry services to help our patients of all ages achieve the smile they’ve always wanted. One of the most popular and cost-effective treatment options are dental implants. We’re proud to provide patients in and around Winter Springs, FL with dental implants, and the benefits are truly endless.

Why Choose Dental Implants?

When a tooth is removed, adjacent teeth shift and move.  This can lead to multiple problems for patients, even the loss of other teeth.  It is important to replace missing teeth and options can include bridges or implants.

Bridges connect adjacent teeth and provide a chewing space for the tooth that is lost.  The teeth on either side of the missing tooth become anchors to "bridge" the gap, meaning a portion of the anchor teeth must be removed so that a bridge may be attached to them.  Flossing is more challenging as special floss threaders are required to get the floss under the bridge to clean the area.  In addition, a bridge ties several teeth together.  If one tooth fails in the future, all of the connected teeth have to be replaced, which can be costly.

Dental implants are the healthiest way to replace a missing tooth.  When placing a dental implant, no adjacent teeth must be sacrificed.  Implants stand alone and can be flossed just  like natural teeth.  No floss threaders are required!

Implants also cannot get cavities, while teeth with bridges are at a much higher risk for decay.
